Fire Hydrant Flushing to begin October 9th, 2017

October 6, 2017, 1:24 pm

Beginning the week of October 9th, the Village of Kingsley's Department of Public Works will be flushing all Village fire hydrants. This could cause your water to become a bit rusty, but only for a few minutes. We suggest that you run your water until it clears, and not do any laundry that contains whites.

Hydrant flushing is necessary to test the hydrants to make sure adequate flow and pressure is available. Flushing is also done to remove sediment from the pipes in order to maintain water clarity and quality in the distribution pipes.
