Village Manager

The Village Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) appointed by the Village Council to manage the affairs of the Village. The Village Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Village, provides overall direction to, and is responsible for the management of staffing, administration, and operation of all Village Departments. It is the duty of the Village Manager to provide reports to the Council in regard to ongoing activities within the Village as well as evaluating services and making recommendations for the improvement of operations. The Village Manager is also responsible for seeking grant monies under the Councils direction and executes the Village Councils decisions.

Kaitlyn Aldrich arrived as the Manager for Kingsley following several years of municipal experience with the City of Traverse City and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University.  She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Political Science. Kaitlyn, her husband Josh, and her boys are native to northern Michigan. They enjoy camping, kayaking, and hiking.
